Graduation Application

We are excited that you are applying for graduation at Harris-Stowe State University. This form is the first part to your becoming an official candidate for graduation and allows you to provide the required information necessary for evaluation and conferral of your degree. Upon submission, the form will be received by your Academic Department, Academic Success, and Registrar to review for completion of degree and institutional requirements.

It is the candidate’s responsibility to meet all degree program, institutional, and graduation clearance requirements. All graduating seniors are strongly encouraged to meet with his/her Academic/Faculty Advisor to ensure that all program requirements are successfully met.

Late applications will not be accepted for inclusion in graduation activities (i.e., degree conferral, commencement ceremony, academic regalia, official commencement program, etc.) and will be referred to the next term. All graduates are assessed Graduation Fees which include expenses related to processing, graduation activities, commencement convocation, the diploma, and academic regalia.

Applicants “not” currently enrolled at Harris-Stowe State University during the academic term of petition, should refer to the Office of the Registrar for instruction as all candidates must be enrolled in the semester of degree conferral.

* In filing this form to apply for graduation, graduation fees will be billed to your student account and you authorize the University to withdraw the graduation fees from your financial assistance or other award, if available. As fees are billed during the semester of your intended graduation and you must be enrolled, charges may not immediately appear on your student account. The balance must be paid in full and all holds must be cleared before your diploma/transcript will be released.
