Subscription Databases: These databases are provided through subscriptions paid for by the AT&T Library of Harris-Stowe State University, Title IV funds provided by Student Support Services, and MORENet, internet provider of state colleges and universities. Academic Search Elite: An index offering access to thousands of magazines, journals, images, and reports; many available in full text, with a direct link to Newsbank, the full text newspaper database. Business Source Premier: A business specific database offering access to magazines and journals as well as company reports, industry overviews, directories, and many other industry and business specific publications accessed through the Business Source Interface in the EbscoHost.

From the Information Institute of Syracuse, this resource has more than 2,000 lesson plans, over 3, 000 links to education information and over 200 questions and responses in their Question Archive for students in education, new and experienced practicing teachers, and education administrators and counselors.

This premier general encyclopedia offers 75,000 articles with over 23,000 biographies in their "Year in Review," is available to browse all the way back to 1993, and includes access to Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Merriam-Webster's Dictionary of Quotations, BBC and New York Times daily headlines, their World Atlas, as well as a variety of websites, carefully chosen by Britannica's editorial department. World Analyst: Britannica's exclusive database of current and past statistics on the countries of the world.

A comprehensive career research database broken down into three main catagories; Job & Industry Profiles, is organized into 16 career clusters created by the Dept. of Education with information on more than 3,300 jobs and 94 industries. Job-Hunting & Workplace Skills includes advice on applying for a job, interviewing, and professional behavior in the work environment. Over 90 sample resumes & cover letters are included. The Career & Industry Resources section includes more than 55,000 entires on scholarships, internships and more. Everything is arranged in an easily browsable format with a fresh, new appearance to the entire site.

This site offers access to a large collection of full text magazine and journal databases covering a multitude of subjects on many levels of literacy. Thousands of magazines, journals, newspapers, images, reports, RSS feeds, as well as audio access are now available as well as the previously available Discovering Collection. The premier index to magazine and journal articles on education and related subjects covering 770 periodicals since 1983, many of them available in full-text. It also includes includes the full text of 29 additional sources from Springer Publishing, one of the most respected academic publishers in the world, plus 12 years of full text from the classic library trade magazine Wilson Library Bulletin.

A major source of information on criminal justice, substance abuse, firearms control, corrections information and everything else in the justice field. All access is via userID and password provided by Student Support Services. A collection of over 130 subject dictionaries, English and bi-lingual dictionaries. The Oxford World Encylcopedia, the Osford Dictionary of Quotations, and the expanding collection of Oxford Companion reference books covering at least 25 subjects. Over 500 full color maps and flags and timelines linking over 2,000 key events of the 20th century with developemnts in Arts, Architecture, Literature, Performing Arts, Politics & Government, Science, Technology & Medicine, Society, and War. This database is offered to the students, faculty, of HSSU through Student Support Services.
