|Bio:||Jackson graduated in 1963 from Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. During his career as a cartographer with the Defense Mapping Agency, he studied Photogrammery at Southern Illinois University in Alton and Computer Science, mentioned below, at Washington University. As a Cartographer with the Defense Mapping Agency, Jackson worked in positions such as a Cartographer, Mathematician, Computer Programer and a Manager.|

Jackson is a retired Cartographer with 35 years of experienced in that field. During his tenure, he taught several courses related to mapping.
Jackson helped manage HSSU's Aeronautical Education Laboratory (AEL) from 1999 to 2006. The AEL is part of NASA's SEMAA program.
Jackson studied specific graduate courses in Computer Science at Washington University from 1975 - 1976. These Computer Science courses were required by the Defense Mapping Agency to help develop new forms of maps.
