The Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) is the accrediting organization for US schools, colleges/universities and departments of education.
Accreditation is “a process for assessing and enhancing academic and educational quality through voluntary peer review. Harris-Stowe State University College of Education programs have been accredited by NCATE since 1954. Also, these programs meet the state requirements under MoSPE (Missouri Standards for Teacher Education Programs) and are recognized by the state of Missouri as an approved education preparation program.
