More about St. Louis Professional Development School Collaborative...

What is our partnership all about? Harris-Stowe State University and the partner school engage in simultaneous renewal in the following ways:

  1. Harris-Stowe State University places its preservice students for student teaching and clinical experience in the partner school classrooms, where they engage in day-to-day school activities under the supervision of certified teachers.

  2. Harris-Stowe State University faculty provide professional development workshops to both its preservice students and partner school teachers on "Best MAP Practices," No Child Left Behind accountability, inquiry science, investigative mathematics, instructional technology and reading.

  3. Harris-Stowe State University preservice students will learn reading programs such as Open Court while working with the cooperating teachers and children.
