Updated Book Advance Process - Fall 2014
Harris-Stowe State University has updated its bookstore advance process effective fall 2014. A bookstore advance of up to $200 is granted to eligible students who are enrolled in at least six credit hours. Students who receive federal financial assistance must authorize their aid to pay their institutional charges, as the bookstore advance fits this category of charges. A bookstore advance can be used to purchase lab books, workbooks and supplies at the Follett Bookstore located on the first floor of Gillespie Hall.
A bookstore advance authorization will be automatically forwarded to Follett when a student meets the following requirements:
• Be financially cleared and have a confirmed final class schedule
• Have an estimated credit balance of at least $50 on their student account
NOTE: If a student becomes ineligible or if the student's aid reduced after a bookstore advance is authorized, the student will become financially responsible for all charges on their student account.
The fall 2014 bookstore advance period is from Monday, August 11, 2014 - Friday, September 5, 2014.
