Students who intend to prepare for initial certification in Early Childhood, Elementarv School, Middle School or Secondary School Education must file a written application with the dean of Education. Candidates for initial certification must complete all college requirements and be approved by the Directors of Admissions and Academic Advisement. Students who have been admitted to the Teacher Education program, both degree-seeking and those seeking certification only, must meet Missouri Certification Standards. Any exception to this policy can be made only on the basis of approval of a student's formal petition to the vice president for Academic Affairs.

2. Elementary Education
3. Middle School Education in:

- Social Science
4. Secondary Education in:
- Social Science
- English
