Many of you are aware that the cost of attending colleges and universities has risen dramatically over the past decade.  This has made the process of getting a college degree more expensive and more time consuming for many students of all walks of life.

I am committed to making Harris-Stowe State University different.  By this, I mean that we intend for our tuition to be more affordable than other four-year accredited univesities (less than $2400/semester for in-state full-time students in 2012-2013).

We also offer a variety of obtainable scholarships for our students.  Some are highly competitive while others are designed for a student with average grades to get a good start on their education and work towards larger awards after their freshman year.

We have fourteen degree programs.  If you are passionate about entering one of these fields and had a C or better grade average in high school, you are someone we want to talk to.

We want to invite students to our campus that are ready to commit to their education.  This invitation begins with a conversation where you simply talk to us about what you are looking for in your college experience.  On each of the pages in this website, you will find contact information for individuals I have personally designated to act as liaisons from my office, depending on whether you are a first-time college student, a transfer student, a member of our armed forces, or an international student seeking admittance to an accredited U.S. university.

Once you have made contact with one of our liaisons, I want you to come back to this web page and let me know how your conversation went.  I want to know if our conversations with you helped you think about your next step, whether it's at Harris-Stowe State University or any other college or university.

We look forward to talking to you!
