I’m Dr. Albert Walker, President of Harris-Stowe State University.
Chances are good that if you are reading this you have already made the decision to pursue a college education. Now you are just trying to determine which institution will be best for you. Much of that decision will be based on your future goals. I encourage you to talk to your family and friends, but we here at HSSU are also available to you for that very important conversation.
You may be surprised at how affordable a degree from Harris-Stowe State University is. Because HSSU has a long commitment as a state school to keep student tuition low, students can earn a bachelorette degree from our accredited institution with a much smaller investment than most other schools. What does this mean at graduation? It means you are carrying much less debt as you prepare for your professional life, personal life, and graduate-school options.
I want to encourage students who are considering one of our degree programs to go to our Financial Assistance web page and use our Cost of Attendance Calculator. You will find that other schools also have this calculator (sometimes called the ‘Net Price Calculator’). You can compare the tuition at HSSU with those other schools and see that almost all of the time there is a significant difference in cost of attendance. It is my hope that you will then want to come visit our campus. I would encourage you to come with family and come with friends. Come prepared with questions (questions you might want to ask on other campus visits):
We look forward to showing you the affordable, quality experience that awaits you on the Harris-Stowe State University campus.
