|College Testing Services|
The Academic Resource Center (ARC) houses the College Testing Service (CTS) responsible for the administration of placement and other standardized tests.
|To ensure that no student is placed in a college course for which he or she may not be prepared, each semester CTS administers a battery of placement tests to entering freshmen and transfer students with fewer than 32 semester hours of college credit.|
Placement tests measure writing, reading and numerical skills and college algebra. Call the Office of Admissions at (314) 340-3300 for testing authorization. Testing is conducted every Wednesday during the academic year at 9 a.m. in Room HGA 013. All students are encouraged to register far enough in advance of the exam in order to guarantee a seat (at least two to three weeks). All registrations should be completed at least one week before the test date. Please arrive early on the day of the test to retain your test reservation. Students should call (314) 340-3650 to schedule and verify testing dates and times.
