ADA Overview
Computer accessibility can make it possible for individuals with varying degrees of disabilities to use new technologies successfully in work and education.
As computers become more integrated in our workday, the concern for making them truly accessible grows more critical.
The American Disabilities Act (ADA) defines disabilities as any person who:
- Has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities including walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning and working;
- Has a record of such an impairment; or
- Is regarded as having such an impairment.
