Co-ed Volleyball Registration
Teams are forming now for the upcoming Co-ed Intramural Volleyball Season this fall. THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SET FOR JANUARY 13, 2012! There are no fees, and anyone can play as long as you are enrolled at Harris-Stowe State University for the 2012 Spring Semester. The Co-ed Volleyball Season will begin Sunday, January 22, 2012. You may have up to 10 people on your volleyball roster. Six people are on the court at a time, and three of those six players must be female. It’s easy to register:
1.  E-mail your roster to intramurals@hssu.edu, and be sure to include:
          a.  All participants' names
          b.  All participants' student ID numbers
          c.  Name of the team
OR
Complete the Volleyball Registration Form and submit in the EPC or GRH.

2.  Have all participants fill out an Insurance Waiver Form.

HSSU students can start a team or find a team to join. If you don’t want to start a team or find one to join yourself, the Intramural Department can assign you to a team. Just stop by the Emerson Performance Center to see Benny C. Lewis or the Rev. Dr. William G. Gillespie Residence Hall and Student Center (GRH) to see Shawn Baker. Co-Ed Volleyball Rules and Season
In HSSU Intramural Volleyball, the winner will be determined by the best of three sets. The first team to score 30 points, and who is up by two or more points, wins the set. Points are acquired by rally scoring rules.

All volleyball games will be played on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings in the Emerson Performance Center, beginning Tuesday, February 2. The regular season will run five weeks, with a sixth week for playoffs and the championship match.
