Ron Isley Initiative: Ron Isley Scholarship

The Ron Isley Initiative will provide scholarships and mentoring to Ron Isley Scholars each year. The first renewable Ron Isley Scholarship will be awarded in Spring 2016 and provide four years of full-ride financial 
aid coverage for first-year Harris-Stowe State University students who demonstrate academic excellence 
and financial need. 

Following are the criteria for the Ron Isley Scholarship:
  • Must be a graduating senior from a St. Louis area high school who will attend Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, Missouri;
  • Have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale;
  • Achieve full acceptance to Harris-Stowe State University
  • Complete an HSSU Scholarship Application which includes the following:
    • Extracurricular activities, community involvement and honors awards
    • Personal Statement (maximum 500 words) outlining career goals.
The Ron Isley Scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years if the student completes a minimum of 24 credit hours annually and maintains a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or better. 

Ron Isley Scholars will be honored at the "Legend to Leader" Annual Gala.
