The NAACP-MYCD is an organization that has developed many powerful, intelligent, young people who are destined to change the world. As such, Harris-Stowe will serve as the platform for “Truth Has No Color,” an educational symposium presented by the NAACP-MYCD for public discourse and civic engagement surrounding the events that have occurred in Ferguson, Mo., over the past week.
Harris-Stowe Awarded $1.7 Million National Science Foundation Grant
Harris-Stowe State University has achieved another historic milestone as the National Science Foundation (NSF) announced the university will receive its second Historically Black Colleges and Universities-Undergraduate Program (HBCU-UP) implementation grant for $1.7 million.
Attorney Ronald A. Norwood Appointed to Harris-Stowe Board
Governor Jeremiah “Jay” Nixon has appointed Attorney Ronald A. Norwood of Creve Coeur to the Harris-Stowe State University Board of Regents. The appointment, which was recently confirmed by the Senate, carries a term that expires July 28, 2018.
