Harris-Stowe State University Holds Ferguson Symposium
On Sunday, August 9, one year since the death of Michael Brown, Jr., Harris-Stowe State University will hold “Ferguson, The World, One Year Later,” a symposium to explore the historical and ongoing dimensions of the movement for justice and social change from an academic perspective. Harris-Stowe and the St. Louis community observe this occasion with an intellectual assessment of the events of the past year including the immediate unrest, the global displays of activism and the calls for peace in recent weeks.
The event, which will take place at 4 p.m. in the Bank of America Theatre in the Emerson Performance Center on the campus of Harris-Stowe State University
